Leeds debt advisor Patricia Cassidy beat off tough competition to be crowned Debt Counsellor of the Year at the Credit Today Awards 2013.
Patricia was there in person to collect her award at last night’s ceremony held at the plush Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
A panel of experts voted that she most consistently gave top notch debt advice, sympathetically dealt with difficult cases and worked to promote debt issues internally.
Competition was tough in a category with seven other nominees, including advisors from Baines & Ernst, ClearDebt, Christians Against Poverty and Debt Advisory Line.
But our girl won through and was rewarded for her tireless daily work helping people out of debt.
We grabbed a word with Patricia, still reeling from her win.
She said: “I’m honoured to win the ‘Debt Counsellor of the Year’ award.
“I was incredibly pleased just to be nominated by the charity and to have won is unbelievable. I will share this award with my colleagues who all work hard to help people in debt.”
Our chief executive Gordon Bell, who accompanied Patricia to the awards, said: “This award is a true testament to Patricia’s dedication to helping people in debt transform their lives.
“We are very proud to have Patricia on our team giving expert debt advice to the hundreds of people she speaks to every year.”
A waltzed glory indeed. Well done Trish!
